Silver medallists at the European Professional Latin Championships kept a joyous secret! Peter & Kristina Stokkebroe kept a very happy and joyous secret, during the European Professional Latin Championships, held in their hometown of Aarhus, Denmark on 18th April 2009. Kristina is pregnant, 3 months gone, and the couple expects their firstborn in the beginning of November. This means that the European was their last competition for the foreseeable future. Peter & Kristina kept this marvellous news from everybody, enabling them to focus and concentrate 100 % on the European Championships! Family, Coaches, Friends were told after the event and everyone is very happy for Peter & Kristina and overjoyed that a new little Stokkebroe will soon enter this World! "We realised that Kristina was pregnant some time in March. We wanted to concentrate all our efforts and the focus of the people around us 100 % on the preparation for the European. We knew, that this would be our last competition in 2009 and we wanted this to be a very special night for us and indeed it was!" says Peter Stokkebroe. "After we have come to terms with the surprising news that we are going to become parents some time before anticipated, we are ecstatic and can’t wait for this new chapter of our lives to begin. We wish for the moment not to speculate too much about what will happen after the baby is born with regards to our career, but one thing is certain, we will return to the dancefloor" says Kristina Stokkebroe. Peter and Kristina will continue to teach and lecture for the time being, and are available for shows again from January 2010.
